Our exhibition has been redesigned to be self-guided. Exceptional exhibition objects and various media stations enable you to discover on your own how, why and with whom Luther translated the Bible and what impact Luther’s translation of the Bible has had down to the present. Since there is so much to explore on your own, guided tours through the permanent exhibition are unnecessary and therefore not offered. We do, however, regularly offer guided tours of our special exhibitions.
You can also learn more about Luther, the Lutherhaus and Eisenach on our tours of the city: We work together with certified tour guides, so-called Lutherfinders. Specially trained by the Evangelical Church in Central Germany, these city tour guides will familiarize you with significant Luther sites as you tour the city of Eisenach.
A visit to the Lutherhaus is already included in the thematic guided tour “In Luther’s Footsteps”. Naturally, this guided tour also includes an explanation of the Lutherhaus’s new exhibition concept and can be booked in German or English.
Your personal Lutherfinder will prepare a concept that matches your group, be it a school group, confirmation class outing, tour group, club, class reunion group, Christmas party group, continuing education class or reward trip group. Tours always conclude at the Lutherhaus where your tour guide will be happy to take care of your tickets and look after your group. We regret that it is not possible to visit the Lutherhaus outside of its regular hours.
